Experiential Design
Auto Body was produced to celebrate the finale of Breakout Chicago 2018, a weekend-long excursion for a local community of change-makers. This event was held in the Grand Tires tire auto warehouse in West Town and hosted about 150 attandees. In order to celebrate the local community, we had performances and DJ sets by local Chicago artists and talents.
I developed the visual directions of this experience to slowly emerse our audience into the event, which took place at an auto shop. My art direction was to subtly reveal our secret location by exposing the key visual elements of an autobody shop. The entrance of the event consisted of rows of tires, which then led the audience to the main stage of a bus and the bar made of car tires and metal pipes.
