AUTO BODY
Experiential Design
Auto Body was created to celebrate the finale of Breakout Chicago 2018, a weekend-long excursion for a local community of change-makers. Held at the Grand Tires warehouse in West Town, the event hosted about 150 attendees and featured performances and DJ sets by Chicago artists.
I developed the visual direction to gradually immerse guests in the atmosphere of an auto shop, subtly revealing the secret location through key automotive elements. The entrance featured rows of stacked tires leading to a main stage built from a bus and a bar constructed from car tires and metal pipes.
As Art Director, I designed all visual assets—posters, social media content, projections, and signage—to create a cohesive visual identity. I also developed moodboards, spatial layouts, and creative references for activations, and collaborated on on-site builds. This role combined creative direction, visual design, and hands-on production to bring the experience to life.
